Wheat – From Nature to Plate
Discover the journey of wheat: from golden ears swaying in the fields to the comforting noodles and breads we enjoy every day.
This poster is part of our “From Nature to Plate” series, a tribute to the transformation of iconic Japanese ingredients. We chose wheat (komugi) because it’s everywhere in Japanese cuisine: think ramen, udon, okonomiyaki … yet most of us rarely picture its humble grain.
🍜 Fun fact: in Japan, noodle shops often let you choose men-kata (麺硬さ), the exact firmness of your wheat noodles. Kyushu’s tonkotsu ramen lovers famously order them barikata (extra firm)!
🖼️ The design pairs a stalk of wheat with a bowl of freshly cooked noodles, captured in a clean, minimalist style that suits any space, kitchen, dining room or office.
🛒 Bring a taste of Japan’s wheat-based comfort foods to your walls or gift this print to the noodle-obsessed friend in your life.
